‘Pet-Cercise’ fund-raising mission for SPCAs accomplished THE inaugural ‘petcercise’ initiative in aid the Local SPCA.
The two clubs, Round Table Empangeni 61 and Round Table Richards Bay 200 had a great success with the project, with the many pet owners participating “saying they won’t hesitate to sign up for the next one”.
left to right – Johan Hersalman – Prize winners were Nicole Dowley and Oreo, who scooped first prize for their 4.1km exercise. Carol Gouws with Schmeagle and Bella finished in second place for completing 1.35km, while third place went to Gavin Moore and Scruffy.
The aim was for pet owners to register their pets and, on a specific day, participate in the ‘pet-cercise’ event by exercising their dogs or cats in their gardens or in the streets practising social distancing and abiding by the Lock-Down rules.
